Stud Alignment – The first and most obvious thing you need to do when mounting TVs to the wall is stud alignment. Aligning them with the stud is the most important part because you want to have the mount firmly anchored into the wall.
Weight Dispersal – The spread of the studs is also important for weight dispersal. You should have your rack close to the back of the T.V. This makes it much easier for the T.V. stay even and well balanced across the back.
Pivoting – Additionally, most wall mounts will come with an in-set pivot, so that you can have anywhere from 90 degrees vertical pivot and 120-180 degrees horizontal pivot. This is ideal for changing it up but requires firm placement.
